Valerie MosleyValerie Mosley

Valerie was inspired to start Heart Beings based on the encouragement of her paternal grandmother, Rose “Pumpkin” Mosley, who was a fountain of unconditional love. Prior to starting Heart Beings, Valerie was a Partner, Investment Strategist and Portfolio Manager at Wellington Management Company, a global investment management firm. It is there that she invested billions of dollars through various market cycles and began to observe amazing parallels between managing money and managing life. She has been selected as one of the most 50 Powerful Women in Corporate America and the Top 75 African Americans on Wall Street by Black Enterprise magazine. Her most prized accomplishment is being mother to her three children: Taylor, Ryan, and Amanda.

Niaz KarimNiaz Karim

Niaz loves to create. He believes in the power of compounding interest in business and compounding joy in life. Niaz’s mission is to contribute to ventures and organizations that are impactful and solve significant challenges in our world. He has been published in scientific journals, has worked in Kosovo and the Republic of Congo, and has been a camp counselor at Seeds of Peace International Camp. Niaz sees Heart Beings as a way for us to lead from the inside and be aligned with our great purpose together. He enjoys travel, discovering the connections between our cultures, and experimenting with various culinary creations.

Dan LothianDan Lothian

Dan is a veteran national TV news correspondent whose career has taken him across the country and around the globe to report on global leaders, politics, natural disasters and other international affairs. At NBC, Dan covered stories for Nightly News, the Today Show and MSNBC, and at CNN, he was Boston Bureau Chief and White House Correspondent. He brings his journalism and media skills to Heart Beings, where he is excited about shining the spotlight on people and organizations that are making a positive difference. Dan is an avid runner, a musician, husband and father of two kids. He can also ride a unicycle.
